Recommendations for Photo and Video Case Documentation

To support you in your SmileAward submission, we have collected a recommendation of the main steps and structure for the clinical case documentation part of your patient story. 

Resources

We recommend the following resources as support:

1. ITI Learning Modules: Documenting Treatment and Digital Clinical Photography 

2. Assessment of case complexity (ITI SAC tool)

3. ITI Consensus statements and clinical recommendations for the treatment of edentulous jaws:

• Loading protocols for fixed prostheses in edentulous jaws
• Loading protocols for implant-supported overdentures in edentulous jaws
• Number of implants placed for complete arch fixed prostheses
• Patient-reported outcome measures of edentulous patients restored with implant-supported removable and fixed prostheses
