Business in a legal, ethical, and responsible manner.
It is essential for the Straumann Group to ensure that the company in general and the individual employees conduct business in a legal, ethical, and responsible manner.
As a global leader in tooth replacement and orthodontic solutions, the Straumann Group respects laws and regulations. Apart from these obligations, there are numerous voluntary codes and recommendations, which have been established by industry associations, the UN, OECD and other organizations.
Responsibility and ethical behavior
Straumann’s internal Code of Conduct for employees defines our expectations for ethical behavior in all our business activities. Being an integral part of the company’s employment contracts, it prohibits any form of human rights violation, bribery, corruption, unfair competition, misleading marketing, etc. Our onboarding training for new employees focuses on corporate alignment including this Code, which protects employees from discrimination (unequal treatment based on gender, race, religion, or sexual orientation).
Ethical supply chain
Adherence to ethical behavior is not only expected from our employees but also our suppliers. We revised our ‘Code of Conduct for Suppliers’ in January 2017, which refers to working conditions, human rights protection, business ethics, legal compliance, and environmental protection in the supply chain.
