  2. Transfer data via CARES® Connect
  3. Design restoration with CARES® Visual CAD Software
  4. Submit CAD design to Straumann® manufacturing

  1. Scan site with CARES® BLX (065.0035) or TLX (036.3220) scanbodies*
  2. Export scan data as .stl file
  3. Upload .stl file to the CARES® Scan & Shape Portal 
  4. Create your CADCAM folder

Restorative options

  4. Create a new prescription in CARES® VISUAL CAD software
  5. sign the BLX or TLX restoration and submit CAD design to Straumann® manufacturing

  1. Scan site with CARES® BLX (065.0035) or TLX (036.3220) scanbodies*
  2. Save scan files as open .stl files
  3. Upload .stl file to the CARES® Scan & Shape Portal

  1. Set up case as Straumann® BLT case prior to scanning
  2. Scan the Straumann® BLX (065.0035) or TLX (036.3220) scanbodies* as BLT in iTero® prep with the Straumann® BLX or TLX in place
  3. Identify the case as a BLX or TLX in-lab case and in the notes please put platform size, restoration type and shade
  4. Submit the case files via CARES® Connect
  5. Create a new prescription in CARES® VISUAL CAD software
  6. Convert the case from BLT to BLX or TLX
  7. Design the restoration and submit the design to Straumann® manufacturing

  1. Set up case as Straumann® BLT case prior to scanning
  2. Scan the Straumann® BLX (065.0035) or TLX (036.3220) scanbodies* as BLT in iTero® prep with the Straumann® BLX or TLX in place

  4. Identify the case as a BLX or TLX in-lab case and in the notes please put platform size, restoration type and shade
  5. Upload .stl file to CARES® Scan & Shape Portal and attached case notes in the free comment section
  6. Complete your CAD/CAM folder

CEREC® workflow

  1. Scan the Straumann® BLX (065.0035) or TLX (036.3220) scanbodies* as tooth borne prep
  2. Save scan files as open .stl files
  3. Identify the case as a BLX or TLX in-lab case and in the notes please put platform size, restoration type and shade
  4. Import as 3rd party scan (STL) then convert to implant borne in CARES®
  5. Create a new prescription in CARES® VISUAL CAD software with the attached cases notes
  6. Convert to BLX or TLX implant borne case in CARES® Visual
  7. Design the BLX or TLX restoration and submit the design to Straumann® manufacturing

  1. Scan the Straumann® BLX (065.0035) or TLX (036.3220) scanbodies* as tooth borne prep
  2. Save scan files as open .stl files
